From the right bank of river Ganga at Narora Barrage, main branch of 8500 cusecs off takes.

System has been planned to provide irrigation to 9.025 lac. H.A. Area (C.C.A.) of Etah, Mainpuri, Itawa, Farrukhabad, Kanpur and Fatehpur.

PROJECT : BEWAR FEEDER CANAL PARIYOJNA
LOCATION : (River Diversion) Etah
Barrage is situated at distance of 12 km on Etah-Sahowar Road. A 64.32 km long Feeder Channel of 350 cusecs capacity off takes.

  1. Regular flow of water at Ghats by controling River stream.
  2. To ensure regular drinking water supply to Kanpur City.

  5. Control of erosion on Unnao side due to river.
  6. Additional availability of 2500 H.A. land on both sides of Barrage.
  7. Attractive Reservoir of water on river Ganga adjacent to Kanpur City.
  8. Improvement in Ecology of surrounding area of Kanpur city.
